#8 Maurice II – Dead (RIP)
As usual, the dice victimize me to an absurd extent. The game was going pretty even until the second half, where Gritter managed an unlikely string of incredible injury results, that gave him a significant player advantage. After that it was pretty easy for him.

A glimmer of hope emerged in the second half that I might stop him from scoring, but I forgot that his player had +1 STR and, despite a re-roll, my block at even failed and I fell down. Although I only fall 1/9 times, it was still stupid of me to not check the strength. After that he scored easy.

I had a good chance to respond, but once again actions that fail only 1/36 times victimized me and he actually scooped up the ball. What should have been a certain tie with a slight chance of victory became a bitter defeat.

To add insult to injury, my aging result was a niggler, so I fired that vampire and used my winnings to get a new one. A thoroughly terrible game. The only upside is that I probably lost team rating.
