#9 Andy Axolotl – Broken Ribs (MNG) #9 Andy Axolotl – Smashed Knee (NI)
“Good game against a very friendly opponent, I'm sure he'll go far here! Very careful and sensible Orc tactics (except for that one accidental black orc dodge on a six; you were a jammy bugger to survive that ;-)
Annoyed that I didn't score in the first half, it was within my grasp, but the skinks decided unanimously that they were no longer dodgers. Maybe it was a strike action due to working conditions (i.e. regularly being inches from death...). This meant that, due to sauruses getting tied up in tackle zones and occasionally knocked into the crowd, my opponent comfortably scored close to the end of the half.
Didn't stand much of a chance during the second, being down to 6 players at first, and kicking to boot, but I gave it my best shot; a second td was pretty much inevitable though. With four turns to go though, a jammy touchback, given to a saurus with block, gave me the opportunity to score once, and at least grab a few spps (which were few and far between...). The fans clearly appreciated the last ditch attempt, which was nice.
Thanks again for the game Mr Samotnjak, was a lot of fun, I'm glad that I could provide the first win for such a gracious opponent :-)”
“a combination of dirt-digging skinks and good old orky fists got my orks their first win. Gork be praised!
With luck on my side the boyz scored two TDs, while the lizzies got their TD towards the end of the game - no less than they deserved.
The game was fun through and through, mostly thanks to a fun and chatty opponent. He worked hard to please the crowd - his saurus and occasionally skinks were quite keen on crowd surfing. The crowd showed their pleasure by donating graciously!”
