The Villainous Sinners showed up, nervous. AloneAndBurned was beside himself with worry, having to face the strongest team in the league, the only other unbeaten team. It was only gobbos, said his advisors. But he knew better, having played goblins several times. Their propensity to move around was unmatched, even by Barich, and they were flanked by 2 Monstrous Trolls. The Slave's Uprising had defeated every team it had played, running over them with impunity.

But Sergeant Barich was running late, and Misik was not yet here... the players started setting up... here's Barich, hastily running onto the field. Only then did the coach notice that Barich had left his claws at home... This would cause problems.

The game started, as did a horrendous downpour, with torrents of rain flying around on the field, into the players faces. While the zombies and Barich ran amuck and untouched in the opponents half, Igar and Dyer were having a tough time getting the ball. By the time they did, Barich was too far away to do anything, and they threw it to Sergeant Wallen. That turned out to be a bad choice, as Wallen let it go, allowing the goblins to swarm and hold it.

The second half was no better weather wise, however the goblins got a hold of the ball in half the time that the wights took. Their Trolls opened up a flank for them, and the goblins marched in, steamrolling over Dyer in the process. Luckily, AloneAndBurned was able to reanimate him before any damage was done.

Barich and Igar tried their best to stop the gobbos, but to no avail. These vicious goblins had learned to stay away from enemies well. Infact, to clear their way, they had their Shaman zap one of their own goblins with a Lightning Bolt, injuring him into next week. However, with a clear field, Frow-Ra "Da Khemri Gobbo" was able to waltz in with an easy score.

Now the pressure was on the Sinners. They set up, and the second that ball was kicked, Igar and Dyer cornered the ball and handed it to Barich, like the Coach [AloneAndBurned] had told them. Barich managed to burst through the line, but got hit by 3 goblins at the same time, and went down, dropping the ball.

A hush fell over the dome, as the goblins clambered around the ball.

The Sinners reanalyzed the situation, and got on the move, but a zombie tripped and fell before he could get into supporting position, and the team lost impetus. The goblins secured the ball amongst several of their number, and it would be a hard fight for the ball.

Corporal Misik zoomed into the Dome, and onto the field to see Sergeant Barich, snarling, jump to his feet and crack through the line, and head for the end zone where Igar or Dyer could give him the ball... but alas, at the last second, a goblin jumped into the path, and dropped Barich, stunning him.

The Goblin fans jumped up and started cheering loudly. The Uprising had succeeded yet again! They were going to walk over everyone!

The Sinners fans, who had come with their Necromancers, started to dissipate, appalled at the poor showing their team had. Many swore never to come back, and ascended on.

Igar and Dyer dragged poor Barich back to the dugout, their heads low, ashamed. Seeing Misik, their mood rose a little, but not enough to change the fact that they had lost. Walking back into the dugout, they saw Lietenant Renz sitting there, ready for battle next time.

Now that Misik was here... the Villanous Sinners would make the other Sinners pay... that they would.

WOW! What a game!

That was one of the closest, most tense games I had ever had. It was close in the beginning, where the luck was initially around 45 - 40 in my favor. However, over the course of the game, the luck on the goblins side steadily rose, whereas mine managed to peak at 48, before dropping back down to a 46 in the last turn, when Barich snake eyed on his dodge roll.

I have to hand it to Shaqpooh, he proved to be the better coach in a gruelling game. I applaud him, and look for a rematch to avenge myself.

Now the Sinner conference has a dominant leader, with a slightly not so dominant leader on their heels, nipping, waiting to strike again...
