In my 8th turn i KO'd 2 players and hurt a third, leaving my opponent with only 7 against my 11 for the second half. A foulfest ensued and i managed to hurt one more and KO zounds of players. Due to his wizard i scored in my turn 7, counting on my defense being able to stop his two-turn score. And it was.

Overtime - opponent kicks so all looks good. at this point i am at 9 player, opponent 8 but still got that damned wizard looming over the stadium. No matter how much i foul and bash i can't reduce his numbers significantly and end up scoring in my own turn 6 leaving him 3 turns to score the coin-toss-giving equalizer. I line up, mummies on the line. Still 9 vs. 8. Kick is bad kick, ball to st4 m7 beast and cageing downfield. i have no way of covering my sides lacing two players so a feeble attempt at stopping him later he strolls it in for the equalizer.

Game was exciting - vanguard got some real characters on that team, and add to that nobody on the team has block, but quite a few pro's. Had i not royally fragged up at that blitz in the first i had had a good chance. but thats past :).
