“The Group wins their first-round FUMBBL Tour matchup. Fortunately, this was an advantageous draw -- playing a team with no tacklers. We were mostly able to contain the orcs, though they did sneak through for a second-half TD. Chiffon was crucial as usual, scoring a TD and netting the MVP.

The only real shame here was injuries. We only suffered two, but both were deaths, and my apothecary didn't work. We lost Bobbette and Marvelette, two linewomen with block. On the bright side, Toy got block, and Ronette got guard. (She already had block.)

Next matchup is a little more problematic: some necromancers and their unholy football team. Their last opponent, another Amazon team, was driven to forfeit the game mid-match; two players down, we're determined not to do the same. With all our guard and their limited tackle (one wight), we're not THAT worried about the strength differential. We can compete inside if we have to. Our greatest concern is the opponent's two star werewolves. We've hired a slayer from the Green Wood of Albion to keep the wolves -- and perhaps some of their hideous undead cohorts -- in check. ”
