#3 Nostricius the Wizard – Dead (RIP) #4 Gromli the Dwarf – Dead (RIP) #10 Unknown Banker – Dead (RIP) #11 Unarmed Sidekick – Dead (RIP)
“This was a bloody, but entertaining game to finish the WIL season with. The Orcs received, and slowly rumbled forward. Out of nowhere elves started dying left, right and center. Most deaths were rather boring blocks or fouls, but one or two managed to bite the dust in style (one dice blocks etc.).
The Orcs seemed to be distracted by the large pools of blood on the field and stalling the drive at midfield. The remaining elves pushed as hard as they could and managed to prevent the score.
Second half the remaining elves went for a quick score. Things went according to plan for the first turn. Second turn saw a pass thrown to an open receiver, but the receiver had butter fingers and dropped it. The Orcs did what the could to get guys around the ball, but the Elves had luck in the third turn , picking up the ball and going for the score without a reroll.
The Orcs knew the pressure was on with only a few turns to tie the game. The kick was deep, pushing the Orcs back and allowing a few Elves to sneak into the backfield. Unfortunately death had not yet left the game and a few more Elves died rather abruptly. There was still some hope for the Elves after a lucky blitz, but a failed pick-up and an Orc recovery ruined that hope. The Orcs rumbled down for a last turn score for the draw.
Nostricius will be greatly missed. As a final honour he was given the MVP. Gromli will be moderately missed. The other two not so much.”
