“This game is difficult to assess. The game was probably closer than the scoreline suggests; but on the same note the Stonemasons always felt in control.
The handicaps were average: Palmed Coin, Duh where am i (affecting my St4 longbeard), and Illegal Drugs (which turned the human AG4 blitzer into an ST4, AG4 frenzy monster).
The dorfs received and ground out a slow 8 turn TD. The humans seemed to be doing the most damage in the first half. The 'masons coach had expected the human catchers to be easy prey but the dorfs couldnt get a cas.
Second half saw the humans make a wide play and set up in a good position to score using a long disttance run-thrower handoff to catcher-run-then pass to blitzer to score manouver which due to weather the blitzer dropped. The dorfs were able to rally around and get a few bodies back around the ball. The humans had a chance to score with a pickup in a TZ that went wrong and scattered the ball right next to a dorf. From there the game was probably over. More dorfs piled around the ball ensuring no human was going to pick it up and after a few bashes a runner swooped in to take it and lob it downfield to a blitzer on the break, to score the second TD with a GFI in turn 16.
Good controlled win for the dorfs. They are boring to play and boring to watch but my god its effective....
The only negative on the game was the aged niggle at 31spp of #8 (Uaba Minebellows). The dorfs had hoped to carry minimal niggles into prem so it may be time to retire Uaba and let his understudy get some SPP before the start of the Big Show next season.
3pt: #8 guitar hero. Took illegal drugs to become a st4ag4 frenzy so i always had my eye on him. Almots stopped the first dorf TD with some play down the left sideline.
2pt: #14 Swinger St4 human who stood up and did his job. Second highest block count of the game.
1pt: #2 babysitter: only a tiny human but blodge sidestep meant he was always trying to get in the way, and he was brave/stupid enough to try foul a dwarf.”
“Man I hate Guard! I really really hate it. But I quite like Ge=reg. He is a personable chap whom I have had the pleasure of gaming with at the Melbourne conventions. I wouldn't have picked him thoug for such a Guard using, Dwarf sucking pain in the chain push arse! But some people will surprise you like that ;)
A great game against a great coach who very well may be up to the Premier claims in his byline! There are simply too many Guards...and as it is THE most broken skill in the game, one must surmise that a team full of them will be tough.
3 pts #4 Rygeck Tunnelbreaker. A heck of a build on a runner and hard to hold him out. But he will soon have Guard I reckon...Greg seems addicted to it. (Note: Get TOO used to it and it wil ruin your game!)
2pts #8 Uba Minebellows Was always causing trouble. ANd dosen't have Guard.
1pt # Glimli Steelbeard. Dosen't have Guard. DON'T GIVE IN Glimli! Be your own man! GUARD IS GAY...WAAY GAY!
;)
Thanks for putting up with my bad timings Sir...look forward to more fun in the future!”
