“The teams appeared equal on paper with TS/TR matched and plenty of AG+ humans to compete with the rats, but Nuffle had a special treat for the Raider's 50th game.

Before the game, RazzleRat decided to take the day off, claiming his poor foot hurt.

The game started and the Bandits kicked off, but before they could blink Tunnels ran across for a TD!

The next kickoff and Mr "Pass, Sure Hands, AG+" Robbo fumbled the ball on the pickup. The Raiders moved up but not quick enough as Robbo regathered the ball. But he then fumbled the Pass! Karma was quick to take effect tho as he was killed on the next block by Ferryrat. The apothecary "failed", but more than one spectator claimed that holding a pillow over a patient's face was not a method of healing that they had seen before. Quikka gathered the ball, ran to the line and was untouched as everyone stopped to watch Kenny fall over trying to dodge away from Killboy.

The next kickoff and the Bandits had the Ref on their side for the rest of the game. Baby Kev had a run down the wing and was caught by Hammer and Quikka. However he hung onto the ball and dodged into the endzone to bring it back to 2-1.

The next kickoff was a blitz and the Bandits marched into position to close on the ball. Ratta Louie rolled 4 skulls/both down to leave the ball unprotected for Jacko to pass it to Gazza for the TD. 2-2.

The 2nd half started as badly as the first half for the Bandits with Terry rolling some skulls on the front line to leave the ball alone at the back. The Raiders ran up to the ball, but weren't quick enough to stop Ando from gathering and passing to Gazza. Gazza made the mistake of trying to unnecessarily dodge past the Rat Ogre and came crashing down. Ratta Louie made up for his earlier blunder by finishing off Billy's Kid and RatShark gathered and passed to Quikka for the TD. 3-2!

The next kickoff and the Raiders got a bit over-excited, blitzing the line, but leaving the defense wide open. Slim went for a run but was hunted down by the Ferryrat. RatShark dropped back for support but just made it worse, knocking the ball into Kenny's open hands, who ran over to score easily and bringing it to 3-3 with 3 turns to go.

The last kickoff and Tunnels went for a run to the edge of the endzone. Matty came and tickled the ball outa him and it spilled to the ground. Matty had another go at knocking over Tunnels and managed to knock the ball into the crowd and into open space. Gazza (Dodge, AG+) failed to also get away from Tunnels to go for the ball and was killed for another dose of karma for bad performance. The Raiders surrounded the ball and Tunnels muffed the pickup. Ando then tried blitzing the psuedo cage and gave the ball straight to Tunnels, who passed to Quikka for his 3rd TD and Tunnels Mega-Star skill.

It was a game of freaky bad luck for Smegish. Considering this I am amazed at how it all came down to the last turn for the win. Good luck with the rebuild!
