And very tight.

The vamps tried to blast the woodies off the field and after some early good fortune had an extra 3 men in the BH box.
After several more woodies ran away to the KO box and a failed GFI into the endzone stopped the woodies taking the lead, some last ditch play saw them stop the vamps from scoring a winner late in the first half.

The woodies started taunting the vamps second half and scored quickly for a 1-0 lead, but could then do nothing about the vamps equalising too many players and too bad luck.

The game was poised at 1-1 and the woodies tried to get men unmarked up the field to score they may have managed it too if the star vamp blitzer hadn't run those extra couple of yards to si the ball carrier (apothed).

The woodies felt that there was more spite than tactics when the vamps fouled a prone woodelf lino with the eye on them. but then woodies are sensitive creatures. (They were most upset last game) but the vamps were probaly making sure that no last ditch td effort could be made.
The woodies were relieved though that the vamps finally played some ball and scored. (since they couldn't get hurt anymore.)
The vamps run out 2-1 winners and rightly so.

The woodies only consolation was that if the luck/dice rolls for the two teams had been reversed then they would probably have won convincingly.
not sure of the exact number of 1's rolled but it was a lot.
if the vamps had rolled as many their would have been a lot fewer thralls at the end of the game.
