“It was obivous early that the Shades underestimated the rookie team Lyons when the game started. Thinking they had full control, the dark elves spent their time on the first drive trying to knock over all of the high elves lined on up on the scrimmage line - not caring to pick up the ball. Lineman Idund obviously thought himself stronger than he was, and without his line-comrades aiding him on a hard hit on the line, he went down with the high elf on the other side.
With the ball free everything was laid out for a high elf turnover, and DareDevils elves quicly started moving in on the ball. The ball was picked up by the Lyons and tossed out to the Lineman Potter who started moving for the touchdown. In the same instance, Shades lineman Idund, all alone on the scrimmage line, got hit hard on the blind side and instantly killed. His apperance was short and gruesome on the Shades.
From here the Shades got their act together, played superbly defense and got the ball back from Potter, with blitzer Chamer knocking the high elf unconcious in the tackle. Chamer picked up the loose ball and got excellent blocking downfield - soon three Lyons players were sent off with stars in their eyes. Closing in on the end zone, Chamer slowed down, not wanting to give the Lyons the time to score before half.
The Lyons made sure the Shades got to pay for their lingering. With witch elf Ashela already down on a block, the high elves moved in on the female, and kicked her between the breasts. Ashela had to get carried of the field, and Chamer made sure to score as soon as he got the chance.
With most of the high elves back on the field after halftime, the Shades found themselves underpowered and in for a defensive struggle. But the struggle payed off, and when the Lyons once again moved their play towards the sideline - the Shades lineman Lige took the oppurtunity and pushed the ball carrier out of bounds to the waiting crowd. The ball was tossed back towards the Shades goal line and a long struggle to get the ball started. After a miss-step and powerless block by the Lyons Lion Warrior Ricardo, the Shades finally got the ball free and could run in for the 2-0-score just before the game ended. Trying to get revenge for witch elf Ashela with kicking a high elf lineman on the way caught the referees eye and lineman Sharma was sent off.
Fans and game sponsors were no doubt on the Lyons side as they rewarded the dead Shades lineman Idund the MVP-award for his effort to give the high elves a golden oppurtunity to score on a turnover. While his gravestone got a nice writing, Shades-coach Galantrin was not satisfied with the choice of best player.”
