“This was not a fabulous way to start the season. Despite every opportunity to capitalize on some poor ball handling, the Muggers lived up to their name from the very first block, taking Hines Gored out of the game early. Still, it was scoreless at the half.
The coaching staff had the opposing offense scouted beautifully but the team couldn't capitalize. Satanio Holmes was maimed and sent back for retooling (as soon as we can pay the necromancer to regenerate him), and we signed Ike Tailedher off the practice squad so we could field 11 for Game 2.
Well played, Prophane. Looking forward to a rematch somewhere down the line.”
The Looeyville Muggers are off to a grand start with a 1-0 victory over PSUgrads Cryptsburg Steelers NWL.
It was a classic match up of Undead vs Necromantic, and the Muggers had what it took to get the win.
The dice were not favoring the Steelers at all, though in the first half, the Ghouls from Looeyville had the hardest time keeping their hands on the ball.
The score was 0-0 at the half, but the Muggers took control in the 2nd half with several Steelers sidelined.
Slowly bringing the ball up the field for a half long drive, #19 Ryan Pain managed to score the games lone TD with just a few turns remaining in the game.
Congrats to PSUgrad for a game well played. Good luck and hope to see you next season in Fringe (or VET!)”
