The Rats were sent off the field in droves as the Necros quickly whittled away at the player base. They had one solid opportunity late in the first half to put their first points of the NWL season on the board but poor coaching left the gutter runner stopping in an awkward position and then lack of solid blocking left the storm vermin open for a blitz from multiple angles so he didn't attempt to push himself the extra couple feet.
By the second half the game became more about keeping the remaining rats on the pitch alive in an attempt to start off the next game on even footing.
