“Fumbbl cup 2008 game 1

If someone told me before the game that I wouldd outbash the hitters 8 to 1 I wouldnt have believed them. But with cas and armor rolls the way they were it didnt seem to matter how many claw/rsc players seaman had at his disposal, my mighty blowers and even unenhanced blockes were lethal while seamans beastmen could hardly scratch my armor.

My handicaps were illegal drugs, buzzing and iron man. I don't know if I have mentioned this before but I really, really love iron man. It allows you to stick your most important player into any situation without fear, and it allows you to put a man man marking on the claw/rsc abominations and live to tell the tale. Anyhow I decided to pile all the handis on Tokyo and put him on the LOS to soak up some damage, and did he ever!

I managed to isolate seamans troll pretty early on and thanks to some bad rolls on seamans side and some ood on my own i outnumbered the chaos side pretty much from the first turn onwards. The deciding roll of the game however was the chaos ag 4 warrior deciding to fail a 2+ dodge with reroll in the middle of the first half, this gave me firm control of the ball and another turn to wear away at the chaos ranks and my armor and injury rolls were still good and my numerical advantage kept growing. In the end of the half luthor made a pass to matsuri for a halftime 1-0 lead.


The chaos could only field 8 players for second half and i was recieving so i felt pretty confident, and as usual when feeling confident i started messing things up. My los bloks and blitz at the start of half 2 produced nothing and i got impatient and made some really bad choices and when i failed a handover early in the second half it started lookign as though i might mess up this game somehow.
Nuffle had not abandoned me too and i managed tos ecure the ball again thanks to yet another dodge failure on the behalf of seamans ag 4 warrior. Who was promptly foulkilled by me to stop any further tries at the ball. This and some more lucky cas rolls left the chaos with only three players to end the half with and i decided to just wait out the half without scoring to prevent any unnecesary damage to my team.

I'd like to thank both seaman and nuffle for the game I could see myself winning it with some luck but winning it like this I never expected, onwards to the next rounf where it seems like our opponents are the underdogs, who would have known.
