Other than their first season, where Guns n' Bull-ets found themselves literally outgunned as rookies, their form has been predictable, 7 Bulls eyes in the conferences and a sawn-off shotgun scattered approach when in the Premiership.
Yes, there’s nothing White about the White Isle in the Premiership for GnB as they herald their return with a familiar 6 gun salute to failure.
Their first game was against Doomed From the Start who GnB have only defeated once, of course that being in the conferences. True to their namesake, DFTS, almost were when they elected to defend first against a precarious 12 man squad. GnB took the lead after a gruelling first half that saw many Undead leave the field.
The second half saw DFTS narrowly tie the game after some pitiful Wolfmen performances was saved by a tripped Hobo ball carrier followed by a redeeming Wolfman dodging, picking up, throwing manoeuvre to a waiting Ghoul much to GnB’s dismay.
Most recently GnB faced the enduring Bear Necessities whom they had yet to defeat after losing two subsequent encounters 2 – 1. Once again, true to form, the game finished 2 – 1 with a consolation TD coming from a game already lost.
On the field the Bear’s double barrelled team of catches ruined GnBs day, but this wasn’t helped by some bad coaching decisions off the field. The Bears broke the GnB offence, and GnB looked set to return the favour until the awesome Winnie the Pooh turned their bashing team into a graceful eleven machine to steal the ball from GnB’s grasp, and the game from their gun sights!
So… so far, not so good with two shots straying well off the mark. The team has five more games and needs to be stoic to handle the shocking recoil from them. Perhaps the only recompense is that 2 of the 3 toughest teams in the division have been faced with a healthy squad emerging.

A catalogue of errors for both games.
DFTS
Not handling the Kickoff effectively with usual CD tactics has cost me in both games.
Instead of dodging, despite having a RR, it may have been better to stay put with the Hobo than risk a dice roll, trying to go for a second, and unlikely score.
But this was actually my better game.
Bears
Against Borgen I committed the cardinal sin and left the ball way too unprotected at the kickoff so I could go for a foul, and against a skill-less BG too – what was I thinking?
Add to that some bad positional moves, and not moving the troll first whilst men were around and that could have cost me the tie. Conversely, Borgen played very well, taking up to 1 hour and 25 minutes on some turns. :P
I need to start thinking things through more as there are no easy games at the top.
On the plus side, two very enjoyable games against two top coaches and fine gents.
Yes, it’s good to be back in the Prem playing some of my favourite [L] players... and Britnoth. :D ”
