“After a long wait for this match, the fans were not dissapointed. Edgár Poé took the Bards to an early lead, but the Souleaters clawed their way back near to the end of first half. Helped on by the stupidity of hulking ogre V' irg 'l, who wandered too close to a couple of beastmen, and was made to eat turf. The distraction allowed the Souleaters to nip across the line just before half time.
With the score tied, both teams came out fighting. V' irg 'iL angry about his first half blunder, injured one of the opposition. the mighty minotaur Rawhide Rex responded by removing the head of the Bard Blitzer, Alexandreas Dumas, with a mightly backhand. Edgár Poé then scored his second touchdown, dedicating it to the his fallen bloodbowl brother.
The Souleaters made a last bitter attempt to even the score, but were stopped in their tracks, when Karhn the Bloodhanded, got sacked by three bards, ending his Rush, and any chance of drawing a tie. However, the dark gods, appeased by the previous sacrifice of the Bards Blitzer, smiled upon Karn, rewinding time 2 secs, so that the Bloody-Handed One could avoid the sack, running home the equalizer.
In the dying moments of the game, the fans of the Chaos Horde charged onto the pitch in celebration, with the Bards' fans doing the same in protest at such underhanded sportsman ship of time manipulation.
The fans however, have not been disuaded, and both teams' followings increased, as word spread of such an exciting match. The pubs are alight with talk of what will happen when these two teams meet again. Apart from those local pubs that the Souleaters frequented on their journey home, which are merely alight with unholy flame. ”
