The Philosophers received the ball at the top of the first half, only able to field nine players. Ratticus Wrex was able to blitz. Blistus Poxx recovered the kick off.

A melee began over the ball and Seeprus Festerspike emerged with the ball. Haxtor elected to stall, handing the ball to Vermolk Cyst. Hegel lead the charge to free the ball. A failed pick-up attempt by Hume kicked the ball into the crowd. The throw-in put the ball outside of the scrum, leaving it available for Immanuel Kant. He blitzed and hurt Festerspike and picked up the ball, finally moving it past the line of scrimmage on turn seven. Regrettably there wasn't enough time to make the end zone, but Kant was able to hold onto the ball, keeping the first half scoreless.

With Wittgenstein and Hobbes badly hurt during the first half, the Philosophers were only able to field seven against the nine remaining Skaven. With little effort, Blistus Poxx was able to score on turn three, setting the score to 0-1.

With Shife Scuttle sent to the bench in the previous drive, the Skaven had a single man advantage. That advantage was quickly erased when the Philosophers knocked two more skaven unconscious in the opening turn of the drive. Kant broke away, receiving a pass from Hume. Kant briefly lost the ball, but was able to jump up, blitz Threcay Seep, knocking the ball free and Seep out, pick up the ball in a tackle zone, then dodge out and score on turn six. The board read 1-1 with two turns left.

For this last drive, each team was only able to field seven players. Ratticus Wrex's seventh turn began with a failed block by Mutinrot Snarl, given the Philosophers an extra turn to hopefully recover a near side kick. Regrettably, Hume tripped trying to reach the ball. Threcay Seep was able to recover the ball and pass it to Vectitch Skydd, but it was the last turn and he simply wasn't fast enough to score.

The Philosophers fought hard for a tie in a match where they didn't feel outnumbered after the first round of knock-outs and casualties.

This was the Rats golden opportunity to walk away with a win. A depleted Norse team took the field and the rats first kick resulted in a blitz which they recovered. The recovering Gutter Runner was then knocked over which resulted in a scrum near the ball. Vectitch came out with the ball but instead of pushing directly towards the goal line they handed it off and tried to run some time off the clock. This ended poorly with the ball eventually finding itself on the other side of the hash marks before half time.
The second half started with the rats correcting their first half mistake and scoring quickly hoping to get reinforcements from their KO box for defense. The reinforcements came but then went right back into the box as the philosophers battered their way down the field for a well earned TD. There was a chance for the rats to score still but with little time left on the board an early failed block put this one in the books as a tie.
