“Not too much to say. Tip for my opponents - if you want to beat me disconnect. I've almost invariably gotten screwed after a disconnect. Certainly did today. (I'm not saying it was intentional btw, I don't think be81 had any idea how screwed I'd be...:P )
The only remotely cool play came when Gurn, having sprinted out of heavy orc coverage, looked at the sidelines, puzzled. The opposing coach was summoning his wizard over to the sidelines. "But..." he thought, "I'm just out of Lightning Bolt range..." The wizard seemed to be stating the same thing along the sidelines. The opposing coach did not like this one bit, and furiously began to consult his staff and the various Rules Scrolls in their possession. But the wizard remained resolute, saying once he had been summoned he must use his magic.
"Fine! Then just target that beastman." "At least," he thought, "it will free up Lineorc Kevin Boss for an assist when blitzing the chaos warrior with the ball!"
However, said beastman, Duke, had been carefully watching the exchange, and once he realized what was about to happen, he tensed himself. The bolt flew across the pitch. Thinking quick, Duke went limp in the opposing orc's grip. Kevin dropped him to the ground. "Hey boss! I think I killed him! He just fell over and-WHAT THE FU-AAARGH!!!"
The bolt slammed into Kevin Boss' face, blowing him backwards through the air. #17 Plaxico Burress charged towards Gurn, ready to take the much smaller, limping chaos warrior down...however, his teammate's scream caused him to turn away just as he closed the distance, and when he looked back, all he saw was Gurn's gauntleted fist, landing right in his face.
Plaxico hit the turf. Not hard, but for long enough for Gurn to knock aside the only remaining orc defender and charge across the goal line right as the clock ticked down.
However, Overtime went very poorly for the chaos side, and in the end their own wizard proved equally useless, allowing the Orcs' superior numbers to socre without too much contest.
