#16 Count Woland – Dead (RIP)
Just as Real looked to be turning the corner they ran into the familiar wall of Mummywell FC – hard!

In a game where Ghouls couldn’t handle the ball nor dodge, and big hitters couldn’t break the brittle bones of Skeletons their poor efforts were confounded by terrible coaching and awesome play by a solitary Khemri Throw-Ra, Jimmy "Krankee" McGregor!

Prior to the game a lone Skeleton was marched away for being a dirty boy, leaving Mummywell with only two of a trio of foul specialists much to the chagrin of the Mummywell coach. Real on the other hand had recruited the talents of the Count who was there to ensure a Draw and that Real didn’t receive the same beating they had previously… sadly the Count did surprisingly little during the brief time he played.

The Khemri began things, which was unfortunate for Real, and slowly began to cage their way forward, gaining little ground – but as Zombies began to leave the field, Count Woland never to return again after a brutal stamp to the cranium, and a key block failed to topple a Skeleton that would have allowed Real to pressure the ball carrier, Mummywell shifted to the other flank.

Real could have got the Count to intercept and hit the Throw-Ra despite a Khemri Mummy on hand to assist, but opted not to and instead pulled him back to force the Khemri to sprint to the finish or be sacked moments later. Mummywell did indeed sprint the ball home, but left Real with a quarter of the first half remaining to tie.

Real however made a botched job of it, not taking into account the speed of the deep Mummies who sacked and KO’d the Count… not to see the ligh, err, darkness of the day again until late second half.

Real were left to receiver without the Count to drive the charge. The nervous Ghouls fumbled with the ball allowing the speedy Khemri Throw-Ra to harass him. The Throw-Ra soon found himself alone and with foul specialist Juanito close by Real took the opportunity to hit the Throw-Ra first with a Mummy and then the ball carrier himself, but neither could topple this tiresome player.

The tackle-less Throw-Ra then knocked the ball carrier to the ground, badly hurting him, dodged from the Real pack, scooped up the ball and was home dry… the zombies couldn’t catch him.

0 – 2

The Count turned up for the remnants of the game to make a relatively easy consolation TD, however Real were more excited by the opportunity to gang foul the Throw-Ra as the clock ticked away, only to have said Throw-Ra simply retire to the KO box.

1 – 2

Unsurprisingly, fans fled the scene even before the final whistle, vowing to never return.

The only good to come of the game is that Real’s inspired move to put their Mummies onto the Blockburn Rovers training regime resulted in their second Mummy bulking up.

Now, they travel to face Bristol Reavers in a game that will likely decide their relegation fate this season.

Xxx

Playing with a hangover yet again… although I use the term playing loosely as Grit coached circles around me in this one.
Jimmy "Krankee" McGregor must DIE!!!

GG Grit - here's hoping you can make the title race interesting!

EDIT::
I forgot to mention in my report... that it's the third game straight that my Team Captain, Karla Larburu, hasn't shown up.

I said I'd fire him if that happened... but I can't.
