“The luck came out equal in this game but don't let it fool you. I was fortunate on multiple levels with this game. Mave's first turn was lost to a SKULL + SKULL/POW result, and the entire first half continued to mistreat him, including a blitz by me after my first TD.

Rather than comment on the match any more (you can view it yourself...I had 4 players BH by the end of the game) I'd like to say that this is my first experience piloting elves. They used to be my team. My style. My love (I loved playing elves with their DEX bonuses in D&D). But I tired of being so one-dimensional, and have played mainly strength-based teams here on fumbbl. So I can say the following with confidence:

Elves are sic

Their Dex bonus is so insane that for every 60k you fork over for a lineman, you get a legitimate scoring threat...an individual who can dodge and pick up the ball in the same move without much effort. The generic elf team comes with CHEAP linemen and cheap rerolls. My team capitalized on both, and I think I like them.

I was lucky as far as casualties this game. The AV 7 will haunt me some games, I know. But I love the blitzers' inherant abilities, and once I get a catcher these elves will be scoring as much as...well, fine. As much as every other stupid elven team in the league.

I can't believe that I'm playing an elf team, but I can believe that I'm enjoying it. Good game Maverick, and sorry 'bout the RIP.”
