“Actually this was my 2nd game in the last 6 months i think, not a very good game for me since i hardly remeber how to play , nevertheless that was a very odd combination u needed to win even vs such a weker opponent as u said i am! Cheers ”
“This match wasn't quite a CD vs CD game. More like orks on orks or khemry.
I was extremely lucky when It wasn't me - handicap stroke on his st5 hobgoblin! However having a star player and a wizard, while I blew my money away last round of FC, didn't really looked like a good beginning.
However, I was pretty easily able to stop opponents' offence right at the beginning. 1st half then passed by pretty much on the same spot, while both teams tried to pick up the ball. My opponent had a chance on turn 8 to pick up the ball freely with his hobgoblin and pass it to the Unstoppable for a score, but hobgoblin wasn't lucky enough to pick the ball up. Don't know if the pouring rain helped me.
Being glad I stopped his drive in 1st half, gave me some confidence for my offence. The beginning went well, Minotaur being able to get rid of his troll. Plus a few KO's of 1st half stayed in my opponents' KO boxes. My hobgoblins advanced half way into enemy territory being accompanied by centaur. This is when my opponent decided to use his wizard, knocking my ballcarrier down and knocking off the centaur. After this, the situation pretty much reminded the first half. Bunch of players around the ball, no good chance to pick it up for either team.
Being pretty sure the game would go to overtime, I tried to save my rerolls. On turn8 I however gave it a try and blocked his Unstoppable with my mino, -2d block... I succeeded and knocked down the Unstoppable, who was the only player to guard the ball. After this I was able to dodge with a break tackle centaur, pick the ball (rerolled) and then sprinted to the touch down zone.
Last turn precaucions setting up my players to prevent OTT. One of my LOS blockers was quite unlucky, died to the turn16 foul.
Didn't expect to win, but generally speaking my opponent played awfully compared to what I was expecting.
Cheers, and good luck with the team!”
