“In their third appearance in the Blutballas Cup series, the Bloodweiser Block 'n' Tackle finally brought the Blutballas Cup home. In a hard fought match against the Khemrian team Dont Fear the Reaper, Fear me the dwarfs bashed their way to the championship!
83000 fans showed up for the BC III final. Four of the dwarf players failed to make it to the game on time, no doubt due to the festivities Bloodweiser planned the night before. Fear the Reaper kicked off short. Dwarf runner Marun Feet-of-Fate fumbled the pick up in front of a wave of the undead. After the the scrum for the ball Komro Graniteblock scooped the ball up, took a shot from mummy Abaddon and bounced around the end for a 16 pace scoring run. This drive was brutal, 2 skeletons and a dwarf in the ko box, and star slayer Stonefury injured. On the insuing kick-off B'n'T lined up in their 3-8 defense which has served them well this tourney. The kick was short, on the sideline, and away from the strong side of the khemri. Fear the Reaper attempted to put a wall of bone in front of their thrower, but was smashed by the dwarfs. Voha Sprintrock snatchted the ball and ran 11 paces for the score untouched Ending the half.
Start of the second half the rampaging dwarven fans invaded the pitch putting a mummy and the last thrower in the KO box. This didnt stop Reaper. Prince of Darkness II scored on a 17 pace scamper to the endzone slicing B'n't's lead to one with three turns remaining. On the following kickoff the dwarf runners again fumbled the ball. Khemri blitzers threatened the backfield but thanks to a block by Tamo Ogrebreaker, Sprintrock was able to advance the ball to midfield securing the win.
After the game team captain Komro Graniteblock had this to say,"We'd like ta thank Bloddweiser for the ale, Commish Barash for breathin' new life into da tourney, and all those teams we destroyed ta git 'ere. Coach Phillier coached a good match, and let dat dirty skellie Famine know dat his name is in da book now for killing Blackfire, hope we git ta see 'em in da next Cup! We'll bury ya for good next time! Bring on BC IV!"”
