Close and fun game, just the way we likes it.

Trickis received first and scored without any trouble in their turn 2. Nothing much I could do to stop it. Had a good shot at fouling the elvish mighty blow blitzer but a skull/pow just before the foul caused a turnover. Life without block skill. :(

On Skrapheadz drive I was making good headway up the top of the field, trying to stick really close and huddled together at the sideline for extra protection and using the trolls as anchors on the bottom. Unfortunately I made somewhat of a blunder and forgot I'd blitzed already, which allowed Trickis a 2db on my ballhollder. This shouldn't have proven to be any real problem though, as I had loads of player near the ball and there was no way for the elves to pick up a dropped ball.

However, the blitzed ball bounced unlucky and ended up out of bounds, and the crowd (must've been elvish fans, bastards!) thought it a good idea to toss in the ball again, right into the arms of an elvish lineman halfway across the pitch. That pretty much ended my push.

The elves still had linemen up along the sidelines totally surrounded tho, so I concentrated a full turn just pushing em about and succeeding in pushing their guard/block linedood into the crowds, but alas only for a stun. The elves responded by playing about with the ball for some extra passing spp instead of scoring. And ended the turn standing up their prone linemen close to the sideline. HA!

I went to work and managed in pushing another out of bounds for a niggle. That'll show em. RAR!

Elves decided it was, perhaps, high time to score now. 2-0 to pansyelves.

My next push, turn 7 it was, Siggi da Sod (aptly named) managed to blitz the mighty blow elf for a SI. Apo rushes in. Wee-wee-wee-wee. Saved. Putz!

In my last turn Testosterone skillfully threw in a gobo for a TD. 2-1 to elves after first half.

Second half sees the gobos receiving. We mash down the front three elves and Testosterone 3db blitzes the mighty blow elf, but alas only pushes. Fouling in the middle results in yet another stun. Pffft.

The elves finish their turn with a trip resulting in a KO. With the crowdsurfing niggler the elves are now down to 9 players. Gobos are still going strong at full steam and two reserves (two are BH and one sent off after fouling).

Advancing up the field and building a cage of sorts the gobos have the ball somewhat protected, but the elves manage to blitz down ballholder anyway.... so hard to properly protect from that with str2 ballholders. Oh well, ball is safe between loads of gobos. One mistake I made here was leaving the troll Machinehead stranded all alone on my half of the pitch. Bad bad coach!

I pick up the ball, reform a better cage two squares forward, well within non-gfi scoring distance. The elves respond by blitzing apart a corner of the cage and engaging the ballholder and setting up a clusterf**k of elves between ball and TD zone. Some clearing blocks in combo with dodge and a gfi made short work of the elven defence. 2-2 after gobos turn 5.

Elves receive on their turn 5. They muck about a bit in the middle but realize the trolls are just not very good targets for blocking, so no serious damage done to the small green geezers hiding behind the trolls. Elves position ball pretty far back with one lineelf in protection. But the sneaky gobos clear a way in the middle and two gobos push their limits (twice!) to connect with ballholding elf and the protective elf. Pressure building.

The elves turn 6 start with Siggi da Sod being blitzed down for a SI (mng). Elves cry REVENGE IS OURS! Goblins laugh. Siggi laughs harder and cries out in joy, 'SAFE for another game yo!'

Ballholding elf (no block skill) plays a very risky card, and blitzes his way out (push) and dodges his gobo tangopartner, and gfi twice to position himself between two other elves. Lucky bugger. Could've been a turning point in the game with just one 1 rolled. Nuffle wanted otherwise.

With both trolls tied up there is no way of getting even a 1db on the ballholder. Weak lil gits we are! Closeby troll throws a block knocking down his guarding elf, and squeezes in next to ballholding elf. Above which gobbos are in contact with the other side of the ballholders protection. Wanting to block off the elves advancement routes first I have to waste a reroll on a gfi, and thus when the gobos throw their block on the elf next to the ballholding elf I get the obvious skull+skull/pow, sending the gobo prone and making the way clear for the elves. Easy to say 'if this and if that', but really with any sort of brain capacity I'd have thrown the block first, taken a reroll and then had the ballholder between two gobos and and a troll. Now instead I got two elves between one gobo and a troll, easily done away with a block and dodge. Elves successfully pass upfield and lock down the ball one square from a TD, on their turn 7. Smart move, don't want to give the Skrapheadz a chance for a last turn TTM TD.

With ballholder not having block, but being shielded from any blitzing attempts, I order Testosterone to toss in a lil git. His aim is off and the bugger crashes to the ground, but gets up in a fury and blitzes the ballholder for a 2db of elvish choice. Double skulls! and no reroll left. Bleh.

Elves score in last round of game for a 3-2 win. Well played by johnny.

In retrospect I should've fouled harder. ALOT harder, already in the first half, especially on that mighty blow elf. But the trolls poor blocking performance (ONE armor penetration during the whole game) put me in a position of needing every player I had for screening instead of assisting on off target fouls. Foul during opposition push, not during your own I guess. Live and learn.
