“SHOCK OFF THE SEASON AS BOTTOM TEAM BEATS HIGH FLYERS 2-1!!!!!
You heard it here first, the Bards have inflicted the first defeat of the season for the whirlwinds.
The first half was very cagey as both teams searched for an opening in the others defence, leaving the score at one a piece.
But when the second half begun (with the whirlwinds setting up to run in the touch downs) the Bards came out all guns blazing, with nearly everyone of their blocks injuring or knocking out the elves. This left the Whirlwind coach bamboozled as he was left with only his treeman on the pitch.
The Bards took this opportunity to run down the clock and score the winning touch down in the last turn.
After the match an interview with the Whirlwind head coach, Das Greatleap, was called off after many accusations of dirty tactics, and use of illegal weapons were thrown at the Bards.
How will the Whirlwinds responed to this shock defeat? All that can be said is beware the wounded animal!”

The first half seen both teams setting up for a touchdown, but a wide pass by gaston Leroux, allowed the Whirlwinds to collect the scattered ball, and convert it to a touch down moments later.
With his knew found leadership, Cervatés lead a retalitary attack, that wrong footed the elves, running the ball across the line himself to score the equaliser in the dying seconds of the half.
The second half will probably go down as one of the most ruthless in the history of the game. With blitzkreig brutality the Bards removed all but one treeman from the pitch, gaining 5 casualties, 3 by captain Cervantés himself, all within the first four turns of the match. All that remained was for the bards to celebrate, and for the ball to be run across the line in the last seconds of the game, to seal the Bards 1st, but albeit, most glorius victory of the season.
After alegations of drug use, and illegal weapons, a spokesman for the Bards stated "The pen is truly mightier than the sword, but sometimes you just half to get out there and give them a good kicking". Wise words indeed!
Is this the new form for the Bards? Or is it just a flash in the pan. Either way, the fans were impressed, with applications to the Bards Official fanclub increasing by 50%, though some speculate that this was to only obtain the free parker pen, with concealed 3 inch stilleto blade (endorsed and signed by Miguél Cervantés himself), with every enquiry!!”
