“A rough game where the dwarves attempted again and again to give the game to the elves...but we steadfastly refused to win!
To open the game, the dwarves got a 1 assist foul for niggle (apoth failed) and 2 assist foul for badly hurt. We countered with a stunning display of double skulls...but the dwarves had control (obviously) and could score at their leisure...and they instead decided to score. A bit weird to give the elves 4 turns to counter...but okay. Ah! I see...a blitz on the kickoff...but they do not leave a safety and the elves walk past them for the 1-1 halftime score.
The second half, we receive again with the chance to go up 2-1...but ah...another blitz...still, we slip past...just need a dodge and block to spring our guy for the TD...nah, that would be some snakes again....bugger. Well, the dwarves have control, but caging is for wimps, so the dwarves taunted the elves into some 1d and 2d blitzs on the ball carrier...ah Skulls...how beautiful art thou! Well, time was running down...elves had a last chance to blitz...2d blitz...double skulls again! So the dwarves won...or NOT! They refused to win so easily and tried to hand off to a longbeard...so Overtime!
Well...overtime did not go well to say the least...2 pushes...then a double skull for our first turn. Our second turn was double 1s to start...our third turn was a failed 2+ dodge...so we were slaughtered...but again, the dwarves would not win so easily! A handoff to longbeard again...and then instead of scoring...another foul for a niggle on our blitzer...and finally...even dispite all their attempts the dwarves won.
A hard fought game to see who could lose...but the dwarves just could not manage it and come out with the win...tough luck!
