“Our new team of innocent goblin angels get auto-matched vs Halendar's 9 dwarves - should be a tough game, but if we can get rid of a couple more of their players we'll be able to swamp him with our goblin horde.. luckily we brought Nobbla and his chainsaw along to the party!!
We receive in the pouring rain and the happy sound of a chainsaw revving up gets the crowd going! He starts blitzing dwarves like it's going out of fasion though without much (permanent) success until he KILLs a troll slayer! Before the dwarf's head has finished bouncing across the turf their apothecary has run out with a big pot of Magi-Glue and somehow puts him back together!
All this has the dwarves distracted though and our gobbos take advantage to run the ball up in a constantly shifting loose cage - scoring without TOO much hassle on our final turn of the half.
The half time break finds everyone who was relaxing in the KO box from both teams woken up and ready for more action - and kick off sees the rain clear just sparing the dwarves the shame of repeatedly failing to pick up the ball.
They push forward well and we're trying our best to do some damage with the chainsaw while threatening the ball, but we just can't remove any dwarves and soon we have a pile of goblins missing, including nobbla unfortunately :(
They go for the score and we are reduced to desperate goblin blitzes to try and stop them or slow them down but we just don't have enough bodies on the pitch to do it - they equalise without much danger in their last turn.
This gives us just enough time to try a thrown goblin maneouvre, but our waiting troll decides that picking his nose is more important and he doesn't notice the insistent squeaking from beside him until the full-time whistle has already blown!
