“After defeating Azure's Ogres, MIB had to face a second wave attack ... Vampires!
In an epic game, where the weight of luck swung more often than a fly swatter in a butter factory, the game was always destined to be a draw.
The Vampires took an easy lead first half, whilst removing mice from the field, and at 1-0 at the break, it looked all over.
The second half saw some scrappy play, with MIB fimally breaking through to tie the game, 1-1. Then the game took on a whole new level, as the dice swung one way, then the other, the rats somehow emerging with the ball after a scatter, to take the lead 2-1.
With 3 turns left on the clock the Vampires made a break to tie the score, and on turn 7 had a Vampire near the end zone with the ball, only a lone Vermin having any chance to reach him, but dodging twice through zones, the vermin not only reached him, but down him on -2D and collected the ball.
Turn 8 left the Vampires with little options, the last reroll used to keep a Vampire focussed, the Vermin was downed and the ball scattered upfield. With minutes running down on the clock another Vampire grabbed tha ball and threw it into the end zone 2-2 and the whistle went.
An epic game, where Bloodbowl was the true winner. The Vampires will return to where they came knowing the battle was well fought, whilst MIB will double their resolve and prepare for the next danger from the unknown.”
