Our new skaven team vs an experienced vamp team with the unusual mix of 3 vampires with str 5, 4 and 3 respectively! We get two handicaps, "it wasn't me" seeing a rookie thrall arrested before kick off, and one of our storm vermin smuggles knuckledusters onto the pitch.

This means there are just 11 vs 11 for the game - if we can get rid of a couple thralls early this could get very messy for the vamps, they need plenty of them or things get nasty. So we focus our hits on the thralls while pushing forwards- we manage to KO 2 after a few turns and regain the ball (vamps great at blitzing it down) with our GR near their endzone. Our knuckle duster storm vermin is BH and we decide to risk the apo to keep him in the game! It's so early I think keeping him may win us the game and lead to major outnumbering, saving us from a lot of blocks. Here's hoping!

We fill the KO box and decide to stall to gain even more of a player advantage. However messing about for completion SPPs leads to bad pass that goes way backwards into the mob- and an agi 4 thrall dodges through everyone, grabs it and runs back out again! The vampire fans go wild! We manage to knock him down, and then clear the way to make the touchdown on our last turn- but we can't do it! No rerolls and we slip up on a GFI before the handoff attempt!

On the plus side this means there's only one set of rolls for the vamps 6 players in the KO box to wake up- and only half make it, leaving 2x agi 4 thralls and the str 5 vamp snoozing. So just 6 others can set up against our full team for the 2nd half.

We surround them entirely but it doesn't stop the vamps picking up the ball a couple of times! Fortunately we have such a huge number advantage we can keep knocking them down and eventually there's just 2 thralls on the pitch and we have the game secured. Paranoid without our apo used up we stall once again (though no more passing shenanigans) and the vamps are powerless to stop us running out the clock and scoring in the final turn.

Cheers for the game captainmalkor!
