“Stryker is rusty. And I even think his initial set up for his kick-off showed this. I thought this would be an acheivable win. To make me feel better, the fans threw a rock and knocked-out Four. On my first turn, Songpanther seriously injured Five and Starseed pushed Eleven into the crowd. From the beginning, it looked wonderful. Starember recovered the kick-off, handed to Breezelash who scored on turn three: 1-0.
On the second drive it started raining. I also started making mistakes. Even though Breezelash was able to get the turn-over and pass it to Embershot, mounting knock-outs, single mistakes, and the Skaven's speed, gave Styker a score by the end of the first half: 1-1.
The second half began with a bad kick, the touchback going to One. Darklyre was able to free the ball, and in the insuing melee, Songpanther recovered it.
He made it four tiles from the endzone when he was stopped in what was the boldest move of the game. Six dodged into two tackle zones to blitz Songpanther with one assist. Seven made three dodges and picked up the ball, in the rain. He passed it to One, in the rain, who then ran, stretching twice to show off, to six tiles from the other end zone. One scored: 1-2.
The last drive began with what appeared to be a pending turn-over. The Skaven outnumbered the elves on the field by a slim margin, but with perfect defense and a botch first block by the elves, it looked to be bad. A pass and hand-off in the rain, however, allowed Shadowsmile to score on turn seven: 2-2.
The game that initially appeared to be an easy victory ended in a narrow tie. But the team suffered no injuries and make good winnings. The same can't be said for the Skaven. ”
