“I took it as a bad sign when his first three blocks resulted in two badly hurts. To further intimidate me, the Ogres built a massive tank of a cage around Orgli.
The Guilders took to surrounding the cage, hoping to slow the drive down. Starember and Songpanther were able to push on the cage a bit and get a tackle zone on Orgli. While trying to defend Orgli, It blocked Songpanther. Both players went down, but It never rose again.
That was the the light breaking through. Under pressure from Darklyre and Battlecut, Orgli tripped on a dodge and gouged his eye. The ball bounced to Gobla. Darklyre and Starember tag-teamed Gobla, smashing his hand.
It was turn four, the ball was free, and three goblins were removed from the pitch. It was looking brilliant, until Starseed dropped a pass.
Grebbo recovered the pass and broke from the melee. But the Guilders continued abusing the goblins, knocking out Gobbitt and Grebbo.
The Guilders now had control over the ball. With a good bit of luck despite another failed pass, Battlecut was able to score on the last turn of the half: 0-1.
The second half began with a single goblin on the field and the Guilders receiving. Despite the advantage, the Guilders were determined to lose control of the ball. Songpanter failed a pick up. Darklyre failed the teams thrid pass attempt. At this point, three ogres surrounded the ball.
After a lucky bad block from Gerdon, Darklyre is able to recover the ball. Not taking any more chances, Darklyre hands the ball to Starseed and the team begin screening. Starseed is able to delay until the eight turn: 0-2. ”
