“There can be ony one word for a game like this: INSANE.
In the first half I was totally getting outbashed and the luck was like 30%-70%. Deathmachine managed to score just 2 turns in ON MY DRIVE because of stupid rolls. Then I scored almost as fast with my wonderful Ma10 Skink.
After that Deathmachine got a touchback and gave the ball to him Mummy. At this point I expected to be able to stall him until half time, and I did. But it cost me a lot, as I was losing more and more players.
The second half was absolutely crazy. I had only 7 players left vs Deathmachine's 11 at the start of the half, and it was his drive. I was expecting a defeat, but was prepared to go down fighting.
The entire second half seemed to be about crazy luck for me. One turn I had bad luck, and the other turn I had Sauruses dodging and that kind of crazyness. Unfortunately, the last turn was a bad luck turn, and my Skink failed a (rerolled) pickup, otherwise I would have won the game I though I was sure to lose.
One hell of an awesome game either way. Had me sitting on the edge of my seat all the way to the end. I guess the important lesson learned here is to never give up, even if things look hopeless.”
