“Our new khemri face MerryZ's high elves w/ one game under their belt giving them an apo but no new skills.

They receive, knock down our token LOS skeleton sacrifices, grab the ball and get a 6th SPP skillup with a quick pass. We move in the mummies to cover most of the line and try a gang foul (fails to even break armour!). They then kill a skeleton (regen!) and KO another. They move the ballcarrier backwards in fear and try and find a way through for some elves, but we are doing well keeping all the mummies spread out and they are having trouble. 3 elves go for a 1d block vs a mummy and a both down sees the elf killed! The apo is able to re-attach his little head though.

They are able to get out of trouble with typically elven moves though, dodging for blitzes and passing the ball upfield. We do well to cover them with mummy sprints and skelly dodges but in the end they are able to make a simple dodge and run in the TD on their 7th turn.

With 2 turns (and our blitz ra stunned by a rock) we really don't have enough time to score but we try our best- the elves blitzing down our lone skeleton receiver and ensuring they will be leading at half time. We do manage to BH an elf with a foul w/ the fouler sent off, which is a nice trade.

9 set up vs 8 elves for the 2nd half. We (eventually) make the pickup with our blitz-ra and move forwards while our mummies try and maximise the amount of elves they can punch. They eventually make a nice series of dodges and a blitz that knocks him over, but they are now out of rerolls and it shows. We move forwards solidly and they keep failing dodges giving us the turnovers we need to secure the ball with the blitz-ra again and run in the TD. They have 3 turns- more than enough to score but lets see what we can do.

With both dragon warriors waking up from the KO box they have a decent chance, and blitz through the sideline to set up some receivers. However a great blitz by our blitz-ra sees one receiver knocked out and the other well-covered. They go for the pass regardless but our mummy somehow intercepts to secure the draw!
