“A back-to-back grudge match vs. the Bones had the Malcontents quakeing in their furry boots. Despite pulling out a 2-0 +1 FF win last game, the Norse were down players 12-9, and a first turn blitz by the Bones left the start of the game looking grim. Still, the tenacious Northmen managed to clear three skellies off the field in turn one to take a player advantage. Despite the Bones evening the player count up right away, an aggressive passing play allowed the Malcontents an early first half score.

The Bones started off their drive in typical Khemrian fashion, wipi two more Norse off the field to take a daunting 11-6 player advantage. Duke Malice wiped the smile off the Liche Priests face though when he blitzed and and slew the Mummy Gravitron. The Norse even managed to stall the Bones drive with only five players.

Second half started with the Bones up players 8-7 (due to a couple skellies being ejected for fouls) and driving up the center. The mummies played smack the Ogre around and a skellie foul killed him! Thank the gods the coaches discipline of the apo after lasts game disaster paid off and he revived Lord Malcontent, who was no worse for the experience. As a bonus, the skellie got ejected.

The Khemri drive continued up the middle with even players. Dem Bones made a mistake by reversing field too many times and the amazingly dodgy Norse managed to pop the ball out, scoop it up and toss it downfield. With all the skellies prone and the Mummies out of position the Bones didn't have the speed to keep the extremely lucky Northmen from racing up field to get the ball and score.

Another 2-0 +1FF win by the Malcontents over Dem Bones! The victory cost them though as they are now down to eight players for the next match.

Nightbird has been a fun opponent these last two matches and tolerated a ridiculous luck disparity in good humor. I can say however that I don't want to see this team again, because next time the luck may go the other way and that would be the end of the Malcontents, who are barely hanging on as it is.”
