With a win needed to secure the title, all the players were fit to play in this game. Amazingly, they'll all be fit to play in the next game, perhaps indicative of how much nuffle was on their side today.

The tone was set early. The Incantations elected to receive and the fireworks began soon after courtesy of a PVC wizard. When the smoke had cleared, two skeletons were on the bench being bandaged, another three were chewing grass, and the ball was lying on the ground with not a standing khemri in sight. A nervous pass nearly messed things up, but eventually the Cosmonauts bundled it into the end zone.

The 1-0 lead held to half-time courtesy of some abysmal blocking by the khemri. The title was sealed in the second half with another score by Walls of Time that involved more luck than elegance. But who cares? Not Tom Dooley jr who put an exclamation mark on the season with a third score.

The Cosmonauts will now take a well-earned Xmas break. Good luck Frankenstein in the Cup. May you have a long and bash-tastic run to the final, destroying every Premier team that comes into your path.
