“A very encouraging match for the Ryneland Fury as they coped well with the daunting task of playing the vastly experienced League Champions.
The first half was a very scrapy affair, with the Champions struggling to get into their rythm, with their coach rushing many playes (he wanted the match over in time to watch some other sport, whats all that about?).
But they pulled it all together in the last 2 turns of the half to run in the opening touch down with Oisin scoring.

As the second half started hits were flying in left, right and center but with no real conviction. And the Ryneland Fury ran in an equalising touch down with four turns left on the clock.
With this humiliation the Champions put there game faces on. They drew their opponents to one side of the pitch and boxed in, almost, the entire team. This allowed Diarmuid O'Duibhne, accompanied by Dagda, to run the ball to the touchline and let the clock run down.
There was a failed attempt to stop this by Ragnar Lodbrok, but he was dispatched with great easy by the all time top blocker Dagda.
And with a single turn left Diarmuid stepped over the line to claim the victory.
This is where Head Coach Nemed handed over the raines to Assistant Coach Kurtious O'Riagain to play their blitz and final turn.

Well the Champions progress to the semi-finals, but unconvincingly so! ”
“How else could this game be discribed other than a valiant defencive effort.A clearly well experianced and battle toughened champions team did not get the walkover everyone was expecting( rumors of the fury's coach being one was quickly dismissed after the game), the game was a slugfest and certanly a crowd pleaser with surely Ragnor Lodbrok the most disapointed player of the game, his( to all but the champions medic) mortal wound inflicked on the champions minotaur was singlely the best hit off the game, a giant killer in the making some belive.
The unexperianced rhyneland fury played above there weight in this close fought match against the number 1 team in the league, with one win and one loss against the best the league has to offer it is hoped this team has the makings of future contenders for the title, the fury coach was quoted as saying after the match " i,m pleased with the team performance this evening and some players have stepped up to the occasion but were a young team and need to get alot more game time under our belts, the opposition coach has shown that the norse people are champions we intend to solidify that fact in the forth coming seasons climbing the league and taking some titles along the way.
The underdogs nearly completed a great upset here but experiance won out in the end, more to come from the fury keep watching”
