“My Vikings must have been out all night, since they were totally unable to do any harm to their opponents. Scoring wasn't an option either, and pushbacks they were too lazy to do, when the fight for the ball depended on it. But then Thorleif Baldirsson, the killing champion of their former (and first!) game took action. He got the idea that jumping on people's heads would help, and it surely did, gaining me my only casualty (apart from one Norseman breaking a leg trying to dodge).

He even had to score the touchdown himself in order to show the rest how it was done. Not surprisingly he got the MVP too, and another skill to him. Rock on!

The last 3 rounds gave us some exiting lessons in stalling tactics. Blitzwing tried to stall, in order to prevent me from making a touchdown, and snakeeyed a GFI with a Bull. Poor luck to him, but he could have scored, and I was outnumbered and understrength;)

I almost managed to score, though my poor replacement thrower wasn't really "in the mood" for a handoff.

But my men were determined to follow Thorleif's example, and jumped for the ball twice, earning me two interceptions! Perhaps they were hallucinating themselves to be elves?
