“A hardfought and suprisingly interesting game which was decided by me not seeing a good block on a blitzer and a miscalculation in moves, both at the end turns.
Thanks for the game!
ps. Damn I wish I could write as good game reports as that :)”
“Our khemri vs Kraark's orcses- and they've brought fungus the loon along!
They cage up with the ball half way into their half, then when fungus clears a bit of space at the half way line they squeeze their cage through, running it up one side. However we have a few players free and we're able to run them up into their cage, including one of our mummies. When they can't get the cage free on their next turn we're able to knock over the thrower with the ball and get a few more players near it. Then fungus collapses (after knocking over our star mummy for the third time) - and the orc coach doesn't reroll it, not realising it will cause a turnover! This free turn lets us grab the ball and move it downfield. But we don't keep it for long when a great orc blitz knocks down the blitz-ra but doesn't let them get the ball. The half ends with a half-hearted attempt by us to do a 2-skeleton combo touchdown.
We start off the 2nd half with a touchback giving the ball to our rookie mummy- however the canny orcs aren't fazed and they spend the first 3 turns standing in his way so he only advances one square before they 1d blitz him over on turn 4! However we grab with a blitz-ra this time and advance up one side, where we are finally able to get some numbers superiority. It's looking safe until a nice 1d block is enough for the orcs to open a way through and they need just to dodge and blitz... but he's failed his GFI! With this we are able to run down to the end zone, shield the way to the ball with bodies and score on our last turn.
Good game Kraark, very hard work getting through the green mass of bodies!”
