“Well, it's been a tough start to the season for the Wildmen, and when their 12 men were asked to face off against 9 ogres (and 4 gobs) it looked even tougher.

The first half was a slow punch-for-punch affair -- for every ogre knocked down, a Wildman was knocked out. By the end of the goal-less first half, 5 men lay unconscious in the dugout, never to regain their sense until the match was over.

In fact, it seemed that the only thing stopping this from becoming a rout was the ogres themselves -- confused that most of their smaller opponents had stopped moving, the large Uruk-hai beasts on-the-whole just stood around scratching their heads.

And so was the story of the game. The Uruk-hai stomped up the field towards the Northerners' line, brutalising everything in their path. Eventually they ran out of bones to grind, and Hiteh called play to an end with the only TD in the dying seconds.

Congrats on staying with that game CVH -- After those 20-odd BH fails in the 2nd quarter i thought u might lose heart, but eventually the ogs came good and the win was yours. I only ever had one sniff of a TD, but failed 3 attempts at a -2d surf on a seemingly perma-bonehead ogre in the first half. Oh well, at least i get another 10k winnings to add to last week's 10k...”
