“This game was brutal. I spent the first half struggling to move the ball: I received the kickoff, he eventually knocked down the ball carrier and got possession. Then I mugged his ball carrier... and the ball bounced right into the hands of one of my slow low-agility blockers. I made a valiant effort to shamble into the endzone, but I ran out of turns: I ended up fumbling on the goal line trying to go-for-it to limp in a score on turn 8.
The one outcome of the 1st half was I took out three of his players (1 SI, 2 KO), and none of the KOs made it back into the game in the 2nd half. So he started the 2nd half short-handed. He got the kickoff and started a push, but I was able to collapse on his ball carrier. Through sheer numbers I was able to knock his team over, recover the ball, and started heading for the endzone. That's when he conceded (my guess would be to prevent me from abusing his team further).
Overall: I made a couple of dumb mistakes early on. My opponent seemed to have a better eye for the game than I do, but both halves of the game ended up as a brawl, which favored my team makeup. Both times he had the ball (took it from me in the first half, and receiving the kick off in the second) he was at a disadvantage: either right in the middle of my tanks, or outnumbered. And the dice were not kind to him.”
