“My Vikings were very excited before this match. Last time they did really well, and now they'd even got Ogre support!

But woe to them, did things go wrong. A perfect Defense, combined with my Surehanded Thrower's total ineptitude spelled disaster. My poor warriors got kicked off the field, in a shower of serious injuries and blood by the brutal onslaught of the Khemri. Passes and catches weren't really their thing, and almost all GFI's ended in disaster. Well, at least a few of the blocks actually managed to knock the Khemri down :)

Must be the stench of these damn Khemri, combined with the hangovers all Norsemen have, when they play after a night of heavy drinking (how else can you get AV7 players to play a bashing game!) I had a few openings too, but they shattered like a skeleton bending backwards catching a scattering ball :) Oh well, didn't have to push that player, but I had a scoring opportunity (his entire team tied up, just had to get the ball out of the TZs), and I'll be damned if I won't try to push the game, even if it means giving the opponent a chance to score too :)

The Ogre saved the honor of the team together with the infamous Thorleif, who yet again did the heoric thing. The Ogre, after several attacks of stupidity (though he still claims that it was the time it took to figure out the plan!) blitzed his way down to the ball carrier in turn 7.2, while Thorleif dodged his way to tie up a nearby mummy. A failed GFI later, and the 2nd Khemri drive was stopped.

Sipila played well, and took good advantage of the opportunities presented. When Heinrich (with an AG increase) is back from his "vacation", I'll show you how to handle the ball in our rematch :)”
