“The Rodents took on the Teeth in a contest of "Skaven Supremacy." And what a match it was.
The match started with a Rodent offence. The little buggers attack ferocisouly and knocked out three of their players, including their Rat Ogre! Khamak Quickfeet was fielded in this game to score quick touchdowns and that he did. The Rodents wanted to put their opponent quickly in a chasing situation, so Khamak got the ball and ran for the touchdown without any trouble.
The next two drivers defined the final outcome of the match. The Teeth attack started very well, but an unlucky throw by the Teeth thrower resulted in the ball scattering on the ground. The Rodents charged immediately for the ball and picked it up. The Teeth weren't ready to give up the ball yet and punched the ball carrier back to the ground. They were however unable to get to the ball, and with the aide of some unlucky blocking, which resulted in a turnover the Rodents finally picked up the ball and ran too far for the Teeth to catch. The second touchdown of the game was scored late in the first half.
The Teeth had a very good attack on the two last turns of the game as a Riot held the game up for one turn. They had the ball in an open situation and could have easily scored when their Rat Ogre decided to block himself to the ground and thus eliminating the Teeths scoring chances. 2-0 was the score at half-time.
The second half started with the Teeth charge that resulted in a quick touchdown as the Rodents were unable to block their runners who moved the ball to the endzone. The Rodents retaliated again quickly. Khamak Quickfeet ran the ball once more to the endzone without no one to stop him.
The same pattern happened twice more. The Teeth attacked and the Ravenous Rodents tried to block their runners and stop the ball from moving. All attempts failed in spite of very good attempts on their part. The Teeth however had very lucky rolls and never failed to pickup or catch the ball in spite of one or several tackle zones. But Khamak Quickfeet always came back to score during the following Rodent drive. They were too determined to win this one so they put Khamak on the line on every single offence.
A fine victory for the Rodents. Too bad the Winnings were so horrible. Thanks to my opponent for a fun game.
