“LOTR - round 5:

A tightly fought game. The most experienced norse blitzer was niggled on an early block and apothecary failed. The corsairs apothecary was likewise called on early, but it proved capable of saving Lt. Streak. The corsairs controlled the first half and scored to go up 1-0...however, there were plenty of norse left - but a blitz gave the corsairs the chance to ice the game...then came 9 straight failed 3+ rolls by Lt. Blaze as he burned up all the re-rolls and ultimately failed to every pickup the ball. The norse had some chances due to Blaze's failures...but they just were short of capitalizing and another very good norse blitzer was niggled in the scrum as well. Overall, we came away with the victory and that was good...and Lt. Blaze is not beheaded - although if his failures had cost us the game, he might have been!”
