“The Wotfud Boyz thought that elves were generally a push over... give 'em a good kick and they break... but they soon found out that they may not be mean and green, but they could hold their own in a fist-fest!
Weather conditions were a vital factor in determining the play strategy of this game. It was not long after the wood elf team Personal Animals scored a TD when a freak blizzard started up. Obviously the fans had heard about the forecast and had stayed away, leaving only a small gate.
The blizzard meant that the Orcs had to adopt a slow slog up the field, obviously looking up the tactics of the funeral march played by undead teams. The Boyz managed to claim one back just as the ref was putting the whistle to his lips, with Chuck Deball finally making it over the touch line.
However, the 2nd half was more of the same. The wood elves played an excellent containment game, making the Boyz fight for every yard they gained. In a last gasp effort, after being thwarted from getting the mobof Boyz near the end zone, a lone orc lineman made a break, dodging away and leggin' it to the zone. All that was needed was a decent throw from Chuck Deball... but obviously the snow was too much of a distraction, and the ball was lost.
Again the Boyz had to call upon the Orc Doctor to repair an otherwise badly hurt injury to one of the green skin blitzers.
All in all a slow methodical game from both sides, but at 1-1 there was little between the two sides...”
