“Stomp - Game 1:

Handicap: Extra Training
Hobbits United came late to the party, so face some daunting teams, the first game was against a deep chaos dwarf team...but we felt no fear! With no RRs, the CDs muffed the initial pickup and the halflings were on it in a flash...it bounced around some and Marshal Georgy Zhukov caught it, the CDs charged forward, but he was just pushed around and then *whooosh* and he flies through the air and sprints into the endzone for the TD! Plenty of time remained however, and the CDs got a RR on the kickoff and had the ball bounce to and was caught by a bull. They raced downfield and we stopped them for a moment, but the bull made the pickup and our 1d block failed to bring it down...it was down to a 4+ dodge to tie it and....a trip for the ages! The bull did not see the halfling and smashed into the ground breaking his arm in the process...half ended 1-0.

In the second half, we were up 8 halfpints and 2 trees to 1 bull, 3 dwarves and 5 hobgoblins. Quickly one dwarf was fouled out (KO), and MacArthur took the ball down the length of the field untouched behind great blocking (i.e. halfling sacrifing themselves) for the 2-0 lead. On the next kickoff the CDs were so embarassed then did not even see the blitz coming and MacArthur grabbed the ball again and with a halfling cage around him (yeah...really strong!), he held out for a turn then made the dodge and was downfield, scoring for the 3-0 victory.

Well, it may be our only win this stomp, but it was fun! Record is 1/0/0 so far in the stomp.”
