“Middenheim Challenge 01/09 - round 1
------------------------------------------------------
Isengard Desolates had a rough seed in the Middenheim Challenged, where the prestigious and well developed New Found Knowledge awaited. With overstrengthened skeletons, a might blitzer in Ker Splat and three mummies the orcs had to rely on decimating the opponents to be able to win. And it wasn't the case this evening. Despite a good start with one of the mummies gangfouled to a KO early on and the opponent dirty player badly injured soon after the greenskins failed to capitalize on their higher AV. Instead the skeletons proved very durable and the orcs were decimated over time.
Two crucial events decided the match. One was a double failed sprint from the orc thrower, that would have lead to a great TD chance in the first half. The second was some highly effective pick-ups from the khemri int he final turns of the match, which lead them to being able to sprint in a TD in the very last turn.
Over the entire match the khemri made very few mistakes and G_Force's boys (or bones) can be very proud of their effort. They were truly on fire and hardly even had to touch their re-rolls. After this impressive display they must be seen as favourite to win the entire tournament!
Thanks for the match, G_Force! See you in future tournaments! :)”
