It was set up to be a spectacular game of boneheads and dodging, a once decent Ogre team slowly dropping in Team Value against an up and coming Ogre team.
Thrombad's Curse had been loosing spectators like rats from a sinking ship over the past season; however with a cunning display of open caging the Cursed managed to zimmerframe their way to two TD's. A legendary feat if their past results are anything to go by.

The game started off with an awe inspiring TTM TD from the Little Big's, resulting in Orble trotting across the end zone. This peculiar display of aerodynamics confused the Cursed, as far as they were concerned when you threw a goblin it was meant to pile into the floor and stay there, not land on its feet. However, the brighter [IQ's in double figures] ogres took note and a plan was devised. Both teams lined up for the kick off and the LOS was established as a trench fight, ogres got knocked down only to rise up again on the next turn looking for more punishment. There would've been an injured ogre, however he'd had a can of Iron Bru before the game and thought himself invincible.
As the Curse realised that the half time whistle was approaching an attempt to score was necessary. An ogre tried his best to remember what he'd seen happen earlier in the game and picked up Joe Biden... he threw the green thing.. and surprisingly; for the first time in 24 games the green thing didn't pile into the ground, it actually stood up, waddled for a bit and then scored a GFI td... 1-1 at half time.

The second half was a demonstration in procrastination. The Curse opted to have a big brawl in the middle of the field and delay any attempt to score, as they'd seen how fast the Little Big's could be... the plan worked, after much swooning and failing of boneheads they began to move towards the end zone. However, the little big ones, expert throwers as they were began hurling goblins at the ball carrier, Ogres were knocked over and stunned, and if the goblin didn't land then they'd stand up and blitz. This happened on turn 7, and it was left with an ag3 ogre or a knocked over goblin to score the TD... obviously the ogre had first pick - and he did - 2-1 to the Curse.

Only injury time or a bad kick could help the Little Bigs, and with their fans [outnumbering the Cursed spectators 100-1] breath held a bad kick came... the ball was given to a goblin and a TTM TD was expected.. everyone waited... even the ogre that was meant to be throwing.. he looked around idly twiddled his thumbs and his turn passed him by..

A great game to play, much fun had tossing / being hit by goblins. :)
