“Kondor sat in his office pouring over the scouting reports of the last match. This had been a hard lesson to learn, and Kondor had gained a new respect for the shambling skeletons. As he sat with pipe in hand, he reflected upon the match.
It had seemed like and eternity between kickoff and the moment Kondor met coach Obsidian at mid field to congratulate him on a well played match. This one had not gone well, and it now seemed Kondor may have figured out why. He had never lead dwarfs against Khemri and made simple, but fundamental mistakes.
Rule number one. Tie up each mummy with one dwarf. Do everything possible to keep them out of contact with multiple dwarfs. Then meet the skeletons individually. Hopefully you will be able to crunch more of them before they can blast your line apart with the mummies.
Add to the inexperience the fact that the mummies quickly put dwarfs on the benc and the recipe was complete for a Khemri victory.
Well, lesson learned. Next time Kondor will plan for the match differently.”
