"A crowd of 63000 gathered today in the Black Pitch to see the new Precinct 10 play a match vs some rookie but obviously nasty Necromantics. Indeed, who doesn't feel a chill when those crazy werewolves hit our dear players with their dreadful claws? I for one have shivered the whole game, and please, my dear readers, don't listen to rumors saying it's because Cherry is attracted to hairy fellas, ahah.
The first half wasn't that uncommon:
10 Humies vs 11 Necros in the pitch. Necro offense but a failed catch allowed the ag4 human lino Jetman to pick up the ball and afterwards, despite losing players, Precinct 10 managed to end the half by scoring and leading 1-0.
At the beginning of the 2nd half though, the Precinct could only field 7 players and was planning a quick offense to score 2-0 and then try and survive the Necro's strike back.
Asked about this, coach tomfromparis' comments are:
- Yes i was aware that if we didn't score in 2 turns the Necros would probably have time to hit us and score 2 tds during the whole half. Considering their defense was really close to the line of scrimmage, the plan was: open a path for Jack, then Jetman passes her the ball, hoping she wouldn't be tackeld while running for the TD. Everything was ok until Jetman fumbled the ball where he had only one player to cover him.
Jetman... the weird case of this match. He had loads of opportunities to help his teammates with his unusual agility but he spent almost the whole half failing what he tried to do.
Luckily for the Humans, the Necros got totally robbed by Nuffle, leaving Jetman many tries to be forgiven, until he eventually managed a pick up and a pass to Toybox who was isolated and only had to run deep, out of range of the Necro rage.
Asked about his opponent, coach tomfromparis says:
- Coach Jaxli is a really good sport and he stayed cool despite his bad luck. My feeling is that he deserved at least a draw as a result, maybe even the victory. The score doesn't show the Necros were the boss in the pitch, despite a couple of bad rolls at the bad time. I'll be more than glad to offer a rematch to coach Jaxli. Until then, i wish him good luck in the future.
We'll all be waiting for the next encounter.
