The first encounter on our way to gaining control of the artefact was a bitter disappointment. The competition is more fierce than we had believed. At first we were not worried since the opposition was a friendly green color and accompanied by a slightly familiar, if less distinct aroma. However, these violent creatures have clearly not accepted the inevitable. Their disarming snarls and cheerful gestures towards our unit were but a ploy to catch us off our guard. Unfortunately, it was successful, and our unit was overborne very quickly.

The group we encountered called themselves "orks". They had many fierce warriors with them, which we can now well understand, since it is apparent that not all are here in the name of science. We have reported the events of the encounter to home, and requested an improvement to our security. For one is bound to make rash decisions and imprecise notes if one has to constantly fear for ones life. If officials such as The High Procurer aren't safe from persecution, who is?
