Kori Manbiter's ears strained, his eyes not being able to penetrate the think fog that surrounding his longship. Having consulted his Gods the night before, he was confident that today would bring them into contact with their prey...
<i>"Chaaarge!" *splash*... "Chaaarge!" *splash*... "Chaaarge!" *splash*</i>
Kori spun around to face his men. He knew his ears had heard right and even now he could see the other longship coming into view. Some fool stood at the bow and was screaming the team name with every stroke of the oars.
"Ship those oars lads, and get ready to board these scurvy dogs!"
The two groups of frenzied norsemen fell upon each other with desperate ferocity. The two captains, Kori and Axe, found themselves locked in combat...
"There's a little bit of land two days rowin' from here", said Kori. "Let's get rid of the natives and continue this on the field, eh?"
Axe gave him a quick block to the face to express his agreement. The two crews gathered themselves from their battles and got back to the oars.
The natives were conquered, trees were felled to make a field, and the two teams got down to a good old fashioned rip roaring game of Blood Bowl... played the way only a Norseman can...

In hard hitting game with over 130 blocks, one near death, and three serious injuries (only one of which an apoth could be found to mend), The norse from Tvarnholm pulled the bearskin’s over the ref’s and everyones’ eyes!!!
Tvarn started early scoring a defensive touchdown after the dirty Chaarge!!! palmed the coin on the kickoff.
Chaaarge!!! evened it as time nearly expired in the first half.
After watching Oswald the Axe score the first TD and complete a pass, Twahn had complete faith in Oswald the Axe’s abilities. The team setup for a strong box deep in Chaaarge!!! territory trusting Oswald to pickup the ball and hurl it to them. But the sure handed Oswald fumbled the ball and Crazy Ivan wouldn’t let him have another try. Crazy Ivan eventually recovered the ball for a TD to put Chaaarge!!! ahead 2 – 1.
As payback on the kickoff, Fromund IronBrow smashed Wacko Poco’s knee, knocking him out of the game and possibly ending his career in just Wacko’s fourth game.
Hauk GerStein went on to even the score at 2 all with only enough time on the clock for opponents to have one chance to win it before the game would go into overtime.
As Hurl got ready to receive the kick deep in his own backfield, the Bearskins blitzed and Sveni Hooknose who had been dogging Chaaarge!!!’s players all darn game, came deep to get near the ball. It was all up to Smoke – one of two star catchers on Chaaarge!!! to stop Sveni but a stiff arm from Sveni fractured Smoke’s arm. Sveni with a horde of escorts ran the ball into the endzone for a 3 - 2 theft!
After the game Ug was brooding on the sideline planning how to make sure he got to avenge this theft when the teams would meet in the playoffs!
That grudge match will be one to see especially if it tops the well over 130+ blocks in this game!!!
