The first half went as expected. Goblins started off by throwing Helmut up the pitch and scoring. Then the orcs retaliated by hitting us, and scoring. Then the ogre fumbled Helmut. Lots of melee after that, but finally, in turn 7, Helmut managed to dodge four times, pick up the ball in two tackle zones, run to the ogre and be thrown up the field and out of reach of everyone. 2 - 1 up at the half.

Then stuff got kinky. First the orc thrower fumbled the ball, allowing Brains to lob Helmut up the field and ending up with the ball, one square from the endzone. When he got blitzed by the thrower, miracle of miracles he stayed up and the thrower went down. After that... The thrower was always on his own, allowing for one goblin to dodge in to assist, and Brains to lob Helmut, who then Blitzed, took the thrower down, picked up the ball, and only had to run in the next turn.

Result: 5 - 1 with 5 TDs from Helmut. Yeehaw. =)”
